We’ve been busy like little worker bees here at Lisa Canning Interiors prepping for a big client presentation for my new John Street client, and continuing work in my role as Production Designer on HGTV’s For Rent- but the highlight of this week is a pretty special project- Jergens Overnight Fix.
Over the summer I was approached by the fine folks at Apex PR (thanks to Arren Williams for connecting us) to work on a project with their client Jergens. To launch their new product, Overnight Fix, they decided to go with a less traditional approach to a product launch, investing the funds into a huge makeover for a local YWCA in Toronto. Working alongside Christian Pavey (you might remember him from HGTV’s Pure Design, we’ll be transforming the community room of a Toronto YWCA… overnight.
YES- OVERNIGHT. It’s our own Extreme Makeover Crazy Edition. With a team of Jergens and Apex volunteers we’ll be working around the clock Wednesday to create a fantastic space for the women and children who live in this Toronto building.
Here is a sneak peek of the before (with baby Evelyn supervising the site visit in her stroller):
And a quick peek at my palette:
I feel very honoured to be a part of this project- it’s going to be slightly nuts transforming this space from top to bottom (new floors, wallpaper, paint, fabrics, furniture) but the results will hopefully be soothing, peaceful and inviting for the women in this building. Wish me luck!
